LUNA & LYKKE

Hi there, we are Luna & Lykke! A mother and daughter duo working together to use their art skills in order to create a variety of products. Currently our items are stocked through Etsy as well as producing personalised commissions and items which are available to order through our Instagram and Facebook. All of our designs have been created as a duo and are hand drawn onto our products. We also create portraits using watercolours, digital designs (which you can see via our Instagram page) and line drawings. As a brand we are currently stocking different collections over on our Etsy and producing various different designs as prints or onto cards, canvas bags and pencil cases.

 

Together we started Luna and Lykke during lockdown. After spending years of doodling, studying art and taking a heavy interest in the creative sector, we finally came to the conclusion that we would create a business. The brand as a whole blossomed from here. Whether we have worked alongside other small businesses or made customers cry with joy over their finished design, we have always been a duo.

 

 

MEET THE TEAM:

Hi, I’m Amelia and I’m sixteen years old! I’m currently studying Media, Photography and Graphics at college as well as having studied Art for GCSE and finishing the subject with an A**. I have always had such a passion and drive for the creative industry so having my very own business with my mum has been a dream.

 

My role within Luna and Lykke is to manage the digital side. I focus on the website as well as creating digital designs for our social media and for customers too! It’s truly a dream come true and there is nothing I love more than working so closely with my mum and also seeing her full fill her artistic dream.

 

 

Hi there, I’m Emma and I’m 46 years old mum of two teenage duaghters! I am currently working in customer service and have been my whole life. Ever since I was young, I’ve had such a passion for art and have been doodling and drawing all my life. In the past I have created tattoo designs for friends and family, as well as myself, but most of all I have been drawing to take myself away from reality.

 

Creating Luna and Lykke is one of my proudest achievements and to be working alongside my eldest daughter makes it even more special. When it comes to technology and social media, I have always found it difficult, however working on the business has helped me to branch out my skills and become more confident in myself. I was always told that I would never get anywhere in life if I became an artist, yet here I am drawing designs for people everyday. My role within Luna and Lykke is also create social media posts as well as drawing all the commissions we get sent and all of our Etsy products. By far my favourite commissions are the dogs! We love to know their names and their breed and its incredible watching them come to life.

Throughout lockdown I also wrote and illustrated my very own book, “I miss my friends” which can be shopped through Amazon. Being someone who has struggled with spelling all their life, it really made me proud that I was able to release my very own book and also illustrate it myself. The book is all about a little girl and her lockdown story in order to help younger children understand that they are not alone with their worries of returning back to “normality”.

 

It fills me with joy when people place an order and still shocks me that people want to pay for my art. Thank you for all the support.
